The basic association a lot of us have when we think of sales is that stereotype, the sleazy used car salesman, or the “buy one get one free!” offers on TV or in stores, or those unsolicited, incredibly annoying, spammy junk emails that fill our inboxes these days.”
(4:48) “Here’s the thing: you have to sell, you have to have clients, in order to have a business – because otherwise, it’s just a hobby, or a charity. Yes, you may love what you do, but that doesn’t mean that you should do it for free and you certainly won’t be able to afford to continue if you’re not generating an income.”
(14:08) “It’s only by getting out there and trying to sell that you’ll learn what works and what doesn’t, and you’re going to evolve and refine your message and approach as you go.”
