MEET OUR FOUNDER
Voted ‘most likely to succeed’ and graduating top of her class aged 17, Anna studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford and then continued on to do a post-graduate degree in International Relations at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva.
Having ‘ended up’ in corporate marketing after her studies, she spent the formative years of her career in beauty and luxury brand management. Leaving her role at multinational Procter & Gamble to start her own company in 2013, she began her new entrepreneurial path by providing digital marketing consulting to well-known brands like Burberry through to exciting new start-ups and solopreneurs.
Anna now combines her decade of experience in corporate marketing with her training in coaching and positive psychology techniques to help people reimagine the next phase of their career, with a blend of life coaching and business mentoring.
20 video lessons (4+ hours) with strategies, examples, and questions to guide you
The 5 Pillars™ framework for building a life outside of the 9 to 5
A comprehensive 49-page workbook with practical exercises to help you apply what you’re learning
The Academy is for you if you’re an experienced corporate professional looking to translate your skills and experience into a profitable and enjoyable business. This will likely be as an expert type of business where you are earning an income as a coach, consultant, speaker, trainer or online service provider.
If you already have the basics of your business in place – a clear client target, business model, and marketing plan – then you can probably skip ahead to the Business Incubator, where you will receive ongoing implementation support and accountability to get you earning consistently in your business.
Our intention is to give you the foundations you need to think and act in a way that will allow you to build a profitable, and enjoyable, business. We won’t be covering the mechanics of setting up email funnels, or running webinars or Facebook ads, as these are tactics that will quickly become obsolete while you can easily learn this kind of detail as and when you need it.
We’re also not here to teach you how to “make 6 figures in 6 weeks” so if that’s what you’re after, this course is not for you.
This will depend on what your other commitments are, in particular if you are still in a full-time corporate job, and how much time and energy you have to dedicate to the curriculum. Most students will take 6-12 weeks to work through the curriculum and to develop their own answers and strategies, spending 1-3 hours on the materials each week.
There are 20 lessons in the course, with 4 lessons or steps for each of the 5 pillars, for a total of a little over 4 hours of video. The first two pillars are a little shorter (45 minutes of video per module), pillar three is the longest (almost 1.5 hours) and pillars four and five are just over an hour each. You then also have the exercises to complete in the workbook for each of the steps, to answer the questions posed and develop your own strategy and approach.
You can work through the modules at your own pace, which means that you can plough through them over an intense few weeks or you can stretch it out and work more gradually to complete the course alongside your other commitments. However, remember that it’s not just about watching the lessons and filling in the worksheets. The real magic happens when you implement what you’re learning and of course it’s then up to you how much time you dedicate to building your business.
This is a self-paced course in which you’ll work through the materials in your own time.
There will also be live group coaching calls each month for you to join to ask questions, get unstuck, and apply what you’re learning to create your own business ideas and plans.
We encourage you to join the Escaping the 9 to 5 Facebook group to connect with other like-minded professionals and fledgling business owners who are working on their own escape from the 9 to 5. For extra accountability and a sounding board, do also consider asking for an accountability partner once you’re over there!
Once you’ve worked through the foundational curriculum, we invite you to join us over in the Business Incubator for implementation support and accountability as you build the business that you have now designed until you have a consistent revenue coming in each month.
If you find that your priorities change and you don’t want to go ahead with the course, you have 14 days after your order confirmation to let us know and cancel your order. This doesn’t apply if you’ve already started the course, however, given that all the material is available to stream and download right away. Of course, if you find yourself getting stuck and unable to progress through the course, do reach out in the Facebook group so we can help you move forwards.
You’ll have access to the membership site for 3 months, giving you plenty of time to work through the course while giving you a degree of urgency to help hold you accountable to completing it in a reasonable time.
You’ll also be able to download all the worksheets, audio recordings, and transcripts to continue implementing what you’ve learned and for future reference.
