CLIENT CASE STUDY
THE CHALLENGE
Martin was several years in and doing well on paper, but buried. He was working late, saying yes to everything, and piling new plans onto a to-do list that pushed the work he actually wanted to do further out of reach. He’d started behaving, in his words, “like an employee of my own company”.
THE RESULT
Same income, less noise, back to the work that matters
Martin stopped the work that wasn’t serving him, cut the costs he’d signed up for “one day”, and held his income while freeing up real time to write and build. Taking a step back, he says, “removed the weight of everything”.
“I waited over a year of spinning wheels before I took the jump. You think you already see the problems, that talking to someone won’t help because you know what’s wrong. But the actual problems weren’t where I thought they were at all.”
Martin · Author & consultant
THE REAL PROBLEM
You can look at someone else’s situation and know what they should do. Your own is the one you’re too close to.
You’re several years in. The revenue’s there. You’ve done the programmes, read the books, and you can find the answer to almost anything in five minutes. So why is your own business the hard one? Because you’re standing inside it.
The assumptions you run on – about how you should work, what success requires, what a serious business is supposed to look like – were set long before you chose them, and they’re hard to spot from where you’re standing. That’s the work: someone outside your own head, helping you see them.
WHAT ATELIER IS
Atelier is private 1:1 work for people who’ve already built something real and want to think clearly about what comes next. It’s a working relationship with someone who’s been doing this for over a decade, in her own business and alongside people like you.
The work is grounded in a framework Anna calls Success Scripts: the inherited beliefs about what success requires, how you should work, and what a serious business looks like, formed long before anyone consciously chose them. Most coaching works at the level of behaviour. This goes to the layer underneath: where the pattern came from, and whether it still fits.
Anna brings strategic rigour, honesty, and the kind of questions that shift things. She won’t manage your process. She will challenge your thinking.
WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH
Anna has spent over a decade working closely with solopreneurs and independent founders who are building businesses on their own terms, as a coach, strategist and thinking partner. She studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Oxford and has trained extensively in coaching and positive psychology.
She is the author of two books (with a third on the way), the host of the Reimagining Success podcast, and has worked with hundreds of founders and independent experts over the years.
In parallel, she continues to work with scale-ups and corporations, so her thinking is grounded in what’s actually happening for founders right now, not theory.
She is based in Dorset, works term-time hours by design, and is a mother of two.

WHAT WORKING TOGETHER LOOKS LIKE
Real change needs room. Atelier runs for six months minimum – enough time to build momentum, work through the hard questions, and see things actually shift. Most clients continue beyond that because the work compounds.

“Anna’s style is brilliant.”
“She creates a safe space, asks clever and thought-provoking questions, and between sessions she shares useful resources, which is above and beyond for a coach. During our work I changed how I approach problems, reconnected with my own sense of purpose, and my confidence and mental health improved significantly.”
Owen · Transformation lead & executive coach

“Anna was brilliant at helping me clearly define my portfolio career, bring focus to the different strands and weave them together to make it sustainable. She really listened and was generous with her thinking. I found the whole experience hugely valuable.”
Tessa · CEO of Music in Offices
Book a call. It’s a 30-minute conversation, no hard sell, no pressure. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’re trying to work through, and whether this is the right kind of support for that. If it isn’t, Anna will tell you.

Off Script is a community – accountability, peer support, and a fortnightly rhythm with people building similar businesses. Atelier is entirely private and built around your specific situation. The level of access, depth, and challenge is different.
Atelier draws on coaching techniques, but it’s not a traditional coaching engagement. There’s no fixed curriculum, no module structure, and Anna won’t just reflect your thinking back at you. It’s closer to a trusted strategic advisor relationship – one where you bring the agenda and Anna brings rigorous challenge, honest perspective, and 12 years of experience working closely with founders and independent experts.
Atelier is for established solopreneurs and independent founders who have already built something – and are working out what comes next. It’s not the right fit if you’re just starting out or looking for a programme to guide you step by step.
Whatever you bring. Most clients work on some combination of: business model and revenue architecture, positioning and how they talk about their work, capacity and sustainability, the harder ‘is this still right’ questions, and specific decisions or challenges as they arise. Anna doesn’t prescribe the agenda – you set it.
Fortnightly 60-minute calls via Zoom (or occasionally in person in the south of England). Between sessions, you have direct access to Anna for questions, decisions, and anything that comes up. Sessions are followed by a short written summary so the thinking doesn’t get lost.
£1,500 per month on a 6-month basis. Most clients continue beyond 6 months as the work compounds, but there is no obligation to commit beyond the initial period. If it is not working for either of us, we will say so.
The most useful framing is the ‘one decision’ test. If working together helps you avoid one underpriced contract or six months of drift in the wrong direction, it has already paid for itself. For a founder billing £150k or more, a single well-priced project or avoided mis-step is worth more than the full 6-month investment. That is the honest case for working at this level.
